Deaf Club - Contemporary Sickness

Deaf Club Contemporary Sickness 7” for ThreeOneG. Initial run of x100, split 50/50 between two cover designs in black on black. Machine cut/creased and hand assembled.

The 7” itself is pretty incredible, a single sided clear record with a printed unplayable side and the reverse of the print showing through the lyrics through the clear record to the playable side.

I then did a second run of x100 in white with the stencil design.

This project started with me reaching out to Justin Pearson (ThreeOneG Records, Deaf Club, The Locust, Head Wound City, Retox, Dead Cross, Some Girls, Swing Kids…amongst others) thanking him for finally playing Manchester on their upcoming tour. One thing lead to another, and this happened. Getting to work with an absolute hero of mine before ACDSleeve has officially launched was unreal, I can’t think of many/any people who can match or even surpass the amount of pieces of packaging I made by hand first time around. Of all the people I’d want to work with JP would probably be at the top of the list, his love of ridiculous physical packaging is pretty unmatched.

Justin and the band stopped by the studio while on tour with Deaf Club to see the set up here, pick up the next run of sleeves, and pick up a super limited silver version of the EP.
